With our amazing video trailer dropping on IGN this morning, the highly anticipated tactical team vs team miniatures board game is already nearing its $244k funding goal within its first two hours, raising $175k from 950+ backers thus far. The first reviews and previews are out, and Apex fans and tabletop gamers alike are already singing its praises.
Apex Legends: The Board Game is a competitive, tactical team vs team miniatures game in which 2-4 players, divided into two teams, face each other in a battle royale style challenge played out within a modular, fully immersive 3D tabletop environment. Bangalore, Bloodhound, Wraith, and Gibraltar drop in the core box, with separate expansions adding more Legends, more terrain, more game modes, and more support for up to 6 players and solo gameplay. Lifeline, Pathfinder, Caustic, Mirage, Octane, Revenant, Wattson, and Crypto are already available today through expansions, and Kickstarter backers will exclusively receive Loba with every core game purchase as a thank you.
This is my first collab with Glass Cannon Unplugged, and I confess, I’m proud of this team. We aspired to capture the battle royale and hero shooter gaming experience in ways nobody has tried before, and the precision and care invested into every little detail has been far beyond my expectations. The production values alone are enough to wow even the most casual fan, and it’s uncanny how authentically the game comes to life at the table.
