Wonderstorm has chosen Genuine Entertainment to exclusively represent the master tabletop gaming rights for the Emmy® Award-nominated animated series, The Dragon Prince. Joe LeFavi, CEO & Creative Director at Genuine, will oversee new business development in this market for the long-term partnership and serve as a managing producer on all tabletop games inspired by the hit Netflix Original series. “The Dragon Prince is one of the most inspired worlds in fantasy today, and I’m honored to bring the world of Xadia to the game table,” gushes LeFavi. “A proud fanboy from the very first scene, you can just feel how Xadia has been lovingly crafted by true game makers and fantasy buffs. I’m confident that once gamers and TDP fans alike get the chance to live and play in this world, they’ll never want to leave.”
Working alongside Wonderstorm, Genuine has curated an exciting slate of upcoming tabletop games rolling out in 2021 and beyond. First to market in 2021 is Tales of Xadia, a tabletop roleplaying game from Fandom based upon the award-winning Cortex rules system. Announced at Comic-Con @ Home on Friday 7/24, the game empowers players to bring their own Xadian characters and quests to life using a core rulebook and a companion digital platform with a variety of innovative tools to create, manage, and share their ongoing adventures with the fan community. Players will also receive the chance to join an organized play program, which welcome fans to participate in a living story with canonical implications in the unfolding events of the Netflix series and the larger franchise.
Tales of Xadia: The Dragon Prince Roleplaying Game is set to release in 2021, with a public playtesting period planned to take place beforehand.
